Before fitting the Step Floors, I had yet more nutplates to attach. Picture 1 shows another four per floor panel.
Picture 2 shows the left panel riveted in place. There are two holes (back right) that are riveted through to the seat supports. I had missed the fact that the seat supports should not be riveted until this step, so I had to remove a couple of rivets per side to do the job properly. I'm becoming really pleased I bought the tool for removing rivets. It works a dream on pop rivets.
Picture 3 shows (top left) one final nutplate that has to be inserted once the panels are in place. If I had followed the plans and riveted the bottom skin prior to this, it would have been a job getting this nutplate positioned through a lightening hole that is too small for my hands. So I'm pleased I'm doing this work out of sequence.
