Brief Description: Riveting the Centre Section Aft Bulkhead
I had not been looking forward to riveting the Bulkhead Assembly as other folk had had difficulty getting enough leverage to squeeze the long rivets. I had previously obtained a thin domed die set as a proposed solution to the problem. In fact it worked very well.
Picture 1 shows the back of some of these rivets.
Picture 2 shows one of the Aft Side Bulkheads riveted in place. It was difficult getting the rivet squeezer into place for some of these so you can see where I have marked the web. The furthest away rivets are poppers as they cannot be reached with the jaws of the squeezer.
Picture 3 shows the completed assembly riveted with a collection of domed, and flush, rivets.
