Tim came along this evening to inspect progress so far.
He has blessed the work to ream out some bracket attach holes at the bottom of the tail fin spar. I should be able to trial fit this next time I have the tailcone assembly on a bench.
He also inspected the skinned rudder and tailplane. These are good to go.
Finally he cheched the riveting on the flaperon skeletons, so I can now skin these, too. The check included the rather scrappy holes in the outer nose skins where I had match-drilled into the steel counterbalance tubes. Vans had already said these were OK, but I wanted Tim to concur.
