Brief Description:  Preparation of fuselage parts

For this bit I needed to drag out one of the fuselage side panels from the crate (Picture 1) so that I could match drill four holes in a Skin Stiffener. There's one on each side of the fuselage. You can use the opposite side of the same wing skin to do the other side. Picture 2. In the plans, the centre section is already riveted, so you need to prevent drill chips from getting into open holes. However, everything is still just clecoed, so not a problem for me. I found it was not easy to reach one of the holes in F1204T. I drilled three holes, and clecoed, then removed the aft bulkhead to do the last hole. This needs to be done before riveting in step 2.

There are some mistakes in the plans here. At Step 2, F1204 should say F1204D. Clecoes should go in F1204D not F01204. The diagram of the side skins is technically incorrect as the "tail end" is missing. The side skins are just called F1270 (not right and left) as both are identical.

Picture 3 is actually Page 21-02 Step 1. I have trial-fitted the Baggage Floors, after these parts have been dimpled as per the plans. Note that the dimpling is not the same for left and right hand parts.
