Brief Description:  Work on Flaperon Counterweights

I had previously match-drilled the counterweights through the nose skins. I made the mistake of trying to do this "freehand" as I cannot secure a #40 drill in the chuck of pillar drill. At the ends of the skin the hole is used twice to drill through. As a result, these holes have become somewhat enlarged, Pictures 1 and 2. I sent photos to Vans, and they were happy that the pop rivets would expand to cover my sins. They did suggest that if I was concerned about strength, I could drill additional holes into the counterweights. I'll need to discuss with Tim.

The remaining preparation work was to deburr the holes inside the counterweight tubes. I had previously managed to cut my finger examining these, so they definitely needed cleaning up. I stapled a sheet of #80 sandpaper to a broom handle and set to work. See Picture 3. This seems to have worked ok.
