Brief Description: Final preparation of the wing nose ribs
Picture 1 is the result of 5 hours of priming. Not much to show, huh. There's actually 28 ribs in there, one more per wing than the main ribs. This allows for extra reinforcement at the wing root, for a wing walkway. RV12 aviators mount the airplane from the front, so the front half of the wing root is what gets stood upon.
Pictures 2 and 3 show the inboard rib on each wing, with three nutplates installed. A bracket holding a wiring Terminal Block will go on each of these. This allows the terminal block to be accessed to update any wiring to be installed in the wings. In the basic kit there's just a stall warning vane in the port wing, but allowance has been made for optional wingtip nav/strobe lights.
