The kit consists of two crates. The first, containing the wing spars, is 15 ft long (hence sea freight is cheaper). The wings themselves are approximately 12 ft long, with 3 ft or so spar overlap through the fuselage.
While at Coatbridge collecting the kit, I had noted the box containing the spar had started to come apart. So before I started on the inventory, I photograped the damage to the crate - just in case.
I also spotted a hole where the wood had come out of a "knot". However the plastic inside looked intact.
In fact, subsequent inspection confirmed that no damage had been incurred during the shipping.
