I spent all day banging in rivets into the wing and then sealing the rivet heads again. On one hand I was delighted that the repair was finally complete (bar a couple of oversize rivets). On the other, I was a bit disappointed that my wing now looks somewhat "secondhand", with lots of tiny impressions where the old rivets had been banged out.
Worse, Tim had spotted a "dent" in the leading edge, which I was unable to push out prior to re-rivetting the skin. Seems I had pushed the wing on its trolley into the port wheel of the fuselage - probably in an attempt to open the fridge-freezer. Just shows that cooking and aircraft building don't mix.
