Plans call for riveting the inboard AST rib prior to installing the AST horns. Several folk on the VAF web-site had had difficulty with this, and the recommendation was to rivet the horns to the rib first. So that is what I did. Rivets look fine front and back.
Pop-riveting the assembly to the AST skin was easier than I expected, with the manual rivet puller. I didn't need the rivet wedge either.
