Brief Description:  Prepped the AST Control Horns

Wow. I've done northing in a fortnight. I knew at the outset that I could devote little time until after the "airshow". I'm organising an airshow at Scone - mostly GA stuff, but this year we have managed to get a major military participation, including the Red Arrows. This is the biggest event we have ever held at Scone (to my knowledge) and requires an order of magnitude more management.

A long break from building takes time to get back in the driving seat. Where did I get up to? Ah yes, the damaged rudder. I'm going to have to schedule another priming session, but I don't have time for that tonight. I spent a few minutes "rearranging deckchairs on the Titanic" then decided I might as well do something useful.

Rudder work being held up for now, I did some prep work on the Anti-Servo Tabs (AST being the obvious TLA). Eased back into the saddle by splitting the two parts, and grinding them smooth on the Scotchbrite wheel. I also hunted around the garage and located the AST spars and the hinges which attach them to the Horizontal Stabiliser. For some reason I'd filed one of the tail sub-kits in the wing spar box. Serves me right for not documenting the locations of everything.

Anyway, now I'm ready for a solid day's work tomorrow.
