Brief Description:  Fit tailcone to rear fuselage

It took some time to tidy everything up from the tail fitting exercise.

Once done, I could start on permanent fittings for the tailcone. This is held on by 12 screws fixed into nutplates riveted around the perimeter of the rear fuselage. Seems easy enough. However, I had one of those problem days. The paper template used to locate the places to match drill the holes slipped at one point, and was not spotted by me. Result was I drilled a 3/32 inch hole in the wrong place. See Picture 1. I redrilled the correct holes, and will check with Tim what remedial action, if any, is required.

Picture 2 shows a second nutplate attachment where one of the holes is rather close to the edge. If I was to do this again, I would double-check the paper templates, and where the holes will be drilled in the rear fuselage.

The final difficulty was in rivetting the nutplates. Maybe it's been too long since I did it, but I ended up having to drill out and replace a couple of rivets that I was not happy with.
