Brief Description:  Empennage fibreglass work

This fin cap was supposed to have a scribe mark to trim to at the rear, but mine was missing, so I just carefully trimmed away material until the rudder could move through its full range of movement with a minimum 1/8 inch gap. Picture 1.

After some fibreglass work on the canopy fairing, I tackled some more fibreglass trimming. This time I attacked the top and bottom tail fairing. These, too, needed lots of trimming. As before I started with the Dremel cutoff wheel, followed by a rotary sanding tip, and finishing with a sanding block or a file.
