Brief Description:  Further work to reorganise workshop

I was not happy with my first attempt at reorganising stuff, so I had another go today. After much calculation, and recalculation, I came to the conclusion that there was no practical way to install the tailcone above the wings on the wing stand. So, off it came and onto a bench pro tem. I then adjusted the wing carpet slings so that the wings were well and truly suspended. Then I had fun smashing up the redundant wing crates, followed by a trip to the tip to dump all of this stuff.

I finally ended up with an arrangement where the wings are on a stand aligned fore-aft so they can be moved sideways and indeed forwards out of the garage with no difficulty. This provided space at the back for the relocated paint booths and to hang the tailcone from the rafters.

If I now move the wings I have plenty of space to work around a double-width workbench. When I am done, I can shove the wings back and still get Sandra's car in the garage.

Picture 1 shows the wings to the left, the engine, canopy, and tailcone to the rear, with car space. Picture 2 shows what's to the left of the wings - two workbenches, my workbench with drill, vice etc behind, and the spray booths at the back. It's a two minute job to spread stuff out so that I have working space (when the car is not in residence).
