Brief Description:  Start to reconfigure the workshop

Now the wings are done, I need to figure how to get organised for doing the fuselage.

Challenge number one was to get the rear fuselage off the top of wing stand (as the wings won't fit with this in place).

Step two was to get the two wings onto the stand. I needed Sandra's help for this. I'm not happy with the carpet suspension. I had minimised the sling height above the woodwork, but this doesn't really give enough clearance to assure that the leading edges won't get bent, so I'll have to attend to that PDQ.

Step three was to manoeuvre this into the back of the garage. Major upheaval here as there's very little spare space. Of course it was pouring with rain outside just to add to the fun. Finally I had the wings tucked away, and the rear fuselage back on a bench.

As originally planned, I separated the two benches which had been bolted end-to end. Not easy. I had forgotten the long bolts had been screwed through 4 inches of wood, and had to be backed out. I now have two 7.5 foot benches which I will bolt together side by side when I get a chance.

After 3 hours of shifting stuff around, the garage is still full with nowhere to work. Needs more work. I'm convinced I need to get the wings out of the garage. I don't need them for a while and they just take up 25% of the available space.
