Sanded the fairing down to the electrical tape, and then removed the first layer of tape. Then I put a coat of epoxy on top. Then I opened the canopy by carefully sliding a thin piece of aluminum between the epoxy and the pexi glass. Then it popped right open. Last, I put the lower cowl back on after re-attaching the starter cable. I started to put the top cowl back on, but ran out of time. Maybe tomorrow, maybe the next day. I need to get ready for the move, but the only things that wont fit in our van are the wings and the plane itself. Everything else can wait.
