Brief Description:  Roll Bar Fairing

Laid up some fiberglass cloth over the top roll bar, and covered the whole thing with dacron tape to absorb the excess resin, to avoid it from getting in places it shouldn't. Again, i used black dye in the resin to darken the fairing for a better looking appearance from inside. Hopefully, I didn't just glue the two halves of canopy together. I put electrical tape over the aft portion of canopy, and covered that with a layer of wax, so hopefully, the resin won't stick to that. I won't find out for a few days, as now I have to sand and fill, sand and fill. Probably until Wednesday. In the mean time, I'll be working on getting packed up to go to the airport next weekend. I also have to rivet the hinge and top skin to the firewall, connect the starter, and put the cowl and spinner back on. I still need to trim the spinner, but I don't have the right kind of sander to make a nice straight edge, so that can wait until I get to the airport, or I could bring the spinner to my Mom's house and use my Dad's belt sander. I'd rather the spinner be in place for the move, however. I've arranged for a trailer, and some help, but it shouldn't be too tough. knock knock (on my head) for good luck.
