Brief Description:  Panel installed

Finally received the panel Friday, and it was worth the wait. Beautiful. I had to sit through the weekend to put it in, because I needed help to lift it in place. Wouldn't want to drop it. Anyway, when Mike came over to help, we started lifting it in place and discovered some of the holes I had cut for the radio stack were too small. Bummer. So out it came and I went to work on the sub panel making it all fit. I also modified the support ribs for the 3400 and the Dynon. There still is some trimming work to be done, in order to connect everything on the back of some of the instruments, so I'll have to either slide the panel out, or slide individual instruments out. Probably the latter. Anyway, Mike went home, and I went to work. We arranged for him to come back tomorrow and put it in, but after I got the holes modified, I couldn't wait so I did exactly what I wasn't going to do, put the panel in myself. But, I didn't drop it and got it installed with temporary screws. Black ones are coming from spruce in a day or so. I then installed the heat cable, and the fuel bypass cable, and the airbox bypass cable. Then I started on the Vertical Power box, and found a good location and started installing the braces. I was going to finish that tomorrow, but things have come up and I won't get to work on the plane for a day or two. Terrible distractions in my life right now. Not a good time to work on important parts of airplanes. Hopefully, things will settle down soon, and I can get back to work. Still hoping to fly this year, but its not looking real good for me.
