Brief Description:  Engine Compartment

Drilled hole in baffle for the fuel purge line, and installed grommet. Put fuel lube on and torqued all fuel lines in the engine compartment. Luckily, I was at Lowe's and bought a set of stubby wrenches - came in real handy today. Then I connected the fuel flow transducer wires, after some initial confusion with the supplied connectors. It seems they seemed it wise to put two female connectors and one male connector on the three wires coming from the transducer, and supplied their mates for the three wires from the harness. I figured they were all male, and just crimped one on each wire coming from the harness, so I could plug them into the three wires on the transducer. The wire colors, by the way, were identical, so there was really no reason to mix and match the sex of the connectors. Anyway, I put the wrong ones on, and only one, the black ground, was correct. So, I just cut them all off and used three butt connectors and it was done. Then I secured the wiring, and installed the heat duct to the heat valve, from the muff. Easier said than done. The engine compartment is pretty much done, other than connecting the mag wires, and the wires to the master contactor and starter contactor. I can't do that until I get the panel, and harness from the VP-100 electrical distribution system. I started to put the prop on, but really couldn't do it by myself, and while I was hoisting it up in place, kept repeating the mantra "ten thousand dollars..." That is, if I was to drop it, that's what the prop cost. Plus shipping. So, I think I'll wait for help.
