Brief Description:  Side Hinges, pins

Drilled the side hinges into the lower cowl. Next, I replaced the soft aluminum hinge pins with the supplied stainless steel hinge pins, cut them to length, formed a little loop in the end so I could install and remove it easier and then reinstalled. I also made the little tabs to secure the side hinge pins to the front of the cowl and drilled them to the side. I have to enlarge the hole and rivet a platenut on the inside of the cowl so I can use a screw to hold the tab secure. I certainly wouldn't want those side hinges to work their way out because they'd go right into the spinning prop. So a good secure hinge is paramount. Wo, thats a big word.
