Removed the dacron tape, and applied a layer of resin and glass bubbles. I'll sand that down, and apply another layer and I think this one will turn out much better. Added final step of polishing the firewall and declared it good enough for me. It's no mirror, but looks pretty nice. Finally, I removed the subaru fuel pumps to ship to the buyer of my engine. I'm glad to move forward to my new engine, a Barrett Precision Aerospace Lycoming XIO-320. Gonna be sweet. Sure, I lost a significant amount of money in the subaru transaction, but I'm making a good decision. No doubt.
