My first attempt at forming fiberglass today. Cut strips of glass fabric about 5 inches wide by 36 inches long, saturated them with resin and laid them out on my prepared surface. Wasn't too bad, but we'll see how it turns out. I used 5 layers of fabric on each side, overlapping them by about 10 inches or so on the top. One layer I used 18 inch long pieces, to help cover some of the curved parts. Put dacron tape on the top to help absorb the extra resin. I'll let it cure for a day or so and see whats next. I imagine some resin/glass bubble mix to fill in the low spots.
