Brief Description:  Roll Bar

Called in sick today and instead of sitting around DC, I removed the roll bar and trimmed the flanges to match the inside, then I masked the bar off and primed and painted where I had trimmed. Then I reinstalled the roll bar, remembering what a pain it was to get the spacers on, then the washers and the nuts with one finger because of the limited space. I sure hope I don't have to remove that again. Then I dimpled the top forward skin, and cleco'd it onto the frame so I can fit the windshield. I also dimpled the firewall where the forward top skin attaches. Then, just for fun, I laid the windshield on the roll bar to see how it looks. Good. It was a good use of a sick day, if you ask me. Don't tell my boss. Although I was really sick. Picked up something from the kids on their first week back from South Dakota. Starting in September, I'll be flying out of Chicago. But, at least I'm still employed.
