Brief Description: Drilling Canopy to Canopy frame
|
|
Drilled the canopy to the frame, starting in the front middle, working aft and alternating sides. Eventually, I got to the back, and drilled down each side, again, alternating sides. After drilling each hole, I deburred with the perma-grit bit, and cleco'd the canopy to the frame. The center point was easy to see with a little pressure, a nice clean line showed clearly through the pexi. Then, I test fit the canopy on the plane, and there is a significant gap on the right aft section, where the level of the canopy will be inside the level of the side of the fuselage. Not good. I'll have to work a bit on the frame to get that section bent out some, so the canopy can flow smoothly to the side of the fuselage.
