Brief Description: Bottom Wing Riveting
|
|
Finished riveting the bottom outboard skin on the right wing, and then cleaned it up. A fine job on those rivets, I must say. Doing the bottom skins by myself was easier than I thought, and I'd recommend it, because of some of the difficult to locate the back side of the rivets, I could feel when I was on the rivet, and not hammer until I was firmly on. Something that might be difficult to communicate to a helper. Anyway, they are both done and this is a minor milestone. Crossed that off my list. I put a few rivets where the rudder stop was supposed to go, since I'm using the delran rudder stop instead. I also drilled a few bolt holes in the VS that I had missed before, that attaches it to the fuselage. Next, I'm going to install the landing lights so Amy helped me move the right wing to the table, after I removed the tie down ring. I taped the template in place, and drew the cut line. That will be scary. Tomorrow.
