Brief Description:  Ailerons

Started in on the ailerons. First cleco'd on the doubler plates on the front of both spars and back drilled all the holes, including the 3/16ths holes on the inboard doubler and spar. Then cleco'd and drilled the nose ribs. Then fitted the counterweight steel pole, marked the holes, drilled one on each end, refitted the pole, used the long drill bit #40 to mark where the second hole on each end went, and then removed the pole, drilled the final hole, reamed the holes in the ribs where the pole attached, and cleco'd the poles on. Used Mike S.'s method of putting a solid rivet in and taping it on to hold the pole in alignment for later fitting of the nose skin. Repeated all this on both ailerons. Then cut the stiffeners apart, getting ready to shape those.
