Brief Description:  Engine Hanging

While waiting for my help and the engine hoist to arrive, I leveled the fuselage so that it would be in the flying position when we were mounting the engine. Then I looked through the Advanced engine sensors one more time to see if there was anything else to put on the engine or firewall before the engine was in place. I found the transducer shunt that mounts in line with the alternator power line, and mounted that to the firewall with platenuts. I also drilled the hole for the throttle cable and installed the firewall passthrough. Then Jim Summers, A&P, and my technical counselor, and Mike Hathoway, president of my local EAA chapter showed up with the engine hoist and years of experience. Took about 1.5 hours to get the engine on and torqued down, all except one bolt which we couldnt really get a good wrench on. I'm going to pick up a special tool that Jim has that will get this last nut on so I can put the cotter pin in that one too. Jim mostly supervised, I watched, and Mike did most of the work, especially getting that last bolt in place was mostly Mike's doing. I was impressed.
