Brief Description:  Push Tubes

Fabricated all the pushtubes, after priming the inside of them by putting primer inside, taping off one end first, then tipping the tube up and down and rolling it around. Who knows if that provides complete coverage, but that's the recommended method. Then I drilled a few more wiring holes through the center bulkhead - that should be enough. Then I installed the forward elevator push tube to the bellcrank, and then installed the stick base assembly, and connected the forward elevator push tube to that. Cool. Some of those thin washers that had to be placed between the pushtube bearing, and the flanges on either side - those who have done this know what I mean - were really tough. I used a bunch of things to get them in between, mostly a popcycle stick with a small groove cut in one end to pinch the washer while I inserted it in place. The thin washers were too thin, and I tried to cut a thinner groove to hold them, but I just ended up cutting myself and drawing blood - twice. But, using that and some medical clamps which name escapes me at the moment, I got them in. I still have to put the cotter pins in the stick bases that go through the bushings, but I'm not completely convinced I don't have to take all that crap out again. It would be seriously painful to have to, but there's no torque seal or cotter pins to deal with if I do. I made a note to put the cotter pins in someday.
