Brief Description:  Fuel Line Plumbing

Well, update again on the gear mount/leg crisis. The machinist could fix one of my gear mounts, but the other one didn't turn out too well, and the hole followed the original oval shape, but bigger. So, in the interest of safety, I opted to order another gear mount and gear leg for the right side. $400 later, it's on it's way with my finish kit. In the mean time, I used the bad gear mount to fit the hole in the bottom of the fuselage while I wait. Then I started messing with the fuel valve mount. I used the original bracket, with some minor variations and got it all mounted and the length of the extension shaft tweaked just right. Unfortunately, the valve and the valve handle are off by 45 degrees. Hard to explain here, and I still don't understand how that turned out but I need a rotary adapter from Andair to get the valve oriented like I want it. I'm not sure that will work either, so I put an email into Andair to find out how that rotary adapter works. I'll probably get another U-joint too, to make it line up better. It's not bad how it is, just a little side pressure because of the angle of the extension shaft. I also worked on the mount holes in the console, and I still have more to do with that. That was really the only part of the console that didn't turn out was the matching of the holes in the floor. Finally, I replaced the left gear mount and started routing the supply fuel line through it.
