Brief Description:  Countersinking main spar doubler.

Brian and I spent a bit of time learning how to properly set the depth of the countersink to properly mate with the dimpled spar. We set the countersink such that the head of a rivet was approximately 0.007-0.009" below flush in the countersink, per Van's instructions. A test rivet was cross sectioned on the Bridgeport. The rivet, sheet metal and test angle iron were all properly compressed. No gaps were found.

We also drilled out the bad dimple and eliminated the cracks. Two new rivet holes were placed on either side of the original hole, spaced half-way between holes.
