Brief Description:  planning installation of TR drive shaft

Followed BJ's instructions to align the main transmission so the input shaft would be pointing 1/8" to the right when measured at first bearing hanger. The transmission is offset to compensate for the drive torque, which will bove the transmission back to cener, when the ship is in operation
I strung a fishing line betweek transmission and TR shaft to check how well these bearing hangers are centered. This showed that the fron hanger is misaligned .175" too high and .150" too far to the left of the ship. The read bearing hanger is off o the left by .150" as well. Bummer!
I was looking for ways to improve this situation and figured that the transmission would have to be centered, and not offset, to the alignment of the TR drive shaft, Reason is that the transmission is only offset when the ship is not in operation. This means the drive shaft has to be aligned with the transmission centered and afterwards will be offset as specified. BJ does not make this very clear in his video and I bet a lot of builder got this wrong!
