Brief Description:  Rotor tip weights

Next job is to install the tip weights into the rotors before I'll ship the blades back to Eagle R&D for machinng.
The video tells to file off a part of the rivet heads on the inside of th spar so the top weight can be moved as far forward as possible into the rotor spar. I muc rather would mill 4 slots into the tip weighs, which would allow me to move the tip weighs all the way forward to fit snugly inside the spar. The rivest holding the rotor skin to the spar are spaced exactly 2", or 2.5"spaced appart. I made a template to see how deep, how wide and how long these slots would have to be.

Milling 4 slots into the tip weight reduces the weight from 272 gams to 269 grams, whch i think will have a minimal effect on stored enery for auto rotations. If need be, I can always thread the tip weight and add a bolt for added weight.
