Brief Description: floor pan cut out for directional control & Collec
Some helicycle builders had problem with their collective hitting the fiberglass well the collectice/throttle retracks into when the collective is all the way down, and I was angious to find out if I have the same issue. To find out I had to install the seat pan and make the cut-out for the directional contrtol padles.I made a template using the two most forwar seat pan mounting bolts as a reference and then transferred the outline of the slots onto the floor pan. Worked quite well and after installing the floor pan onto the frame and doing some more filing and finish work, it all looked good..
Checked the location of the collective lever in the seat pan and it fits into the well nicely. I just had to add 2 shims at the right side of the collective shaft to move the shaft slightlyt to the left. Collective and cyclic controls both work nicely without any tendency for binding. A good day!
