Debriefed with Dave: canopy seal worked well; more bottom cowl rubbing still suspected; manifold pressure readings fluctuate above 26"; tailwheel chains may be too slack; Dave doesn't like pedal inserts. Gave Dave a ride to meet his wife Emily, then returned to hangar to continue documentation. I am cleared for next flight and all subsequent flights.
