Brief Description:  Post Flight Inspection pt. 3

During cowling removal, noticed that the left vertical cowl pin had not been fully inserted. Prepared to remount cowling and discovered contact had been made between the bottom cowl nose bowl and the prop spinner backing plate at the 2 pc. attach points. This could have been caused by slight looseness, expansion by centrifugal force or by aerodynamic forces. Further investigation is required. Bottom cowl will need to be reinforced from inside and the outside relieved and repainted. Whirl Wind will be consulted regarding the damage to the spinner backing plate.
(consulted with Jay at 3:30 p.m. 5/11/2022; he confirmed that the damage was not severe enough to warrant repair or replacement)
