Trimmed rescue stencil and determined layout and positioning using pencil marks and guide tape. Applied rescue stencil to left side of canopy skirt. Masked canopy and wiped lettering. Mixed and sprayed red basecoat. After paint had set up, carefully removed masking and stencil. Difficulty removing very thin stencil sections created one minor flaw that was touched up by hand.
