Brief Description:  Elevators - 05 - Finished Priming, Adjust. Rod End

- Prepped and primed left elevator skin and trim tab.
- Built a tool to adjust the rod end bearings to the propper depth. I saw this home made tool on Scott Will's site (http://scott.jpainter.org/log/cat_empennage.html). He gives credit to another builder (Sam Buchanan) but the link is broken. This tool is awesome, easy to make and works well.
- Adjusted all elevator rod end bearings.
- Re-attached elevators to ensure all the clearances were still correct. Checked 4.0.

* OK, Couldn't help it...Put the VS & Rudder on to see how the tail looks all together. It looks like the empennage of an aircraft...

* WHAT'S LEFT TO DO:
- Need to adjust Rudder rod end bearings. After adjusting the elevators and seeing how many turns it took to get to 13/16" (or 26/32" on my ruler) and putting them on the VS it is apparent that they are way off.
- Looked for a sleeve to drill the elevator horns but without the bolt or bearing it was tough to find something that would work. Need to find something to drill the horns.
- Waiting on a 4" No hole yoke to rivet a few holes in the elevators and a dozen pop-rivets for the leading edges.
- So other than the fiberglass this would be it for the Empennage.
