Taxi tests were done in the heat of summer. KCNO was very busy that day and even though the outside air temperature was approximately 98°, the engine showed no tendency to overheat and. The Plenum did its job very well.
The big day finally came and the first flight/landing was conducted by a test pilot that I hired. The photo of me with the plane in the background was at the conclusion of my first solo flight. And boy was it exciting!
The plane is very sensitive to control inputs. I had heard that from other owners. But until you experience that level of sensitivity you really can't appreciate it.
