Brief Description:  Finishing the Fuel Tanks

It has been two months since my last update. The weather is starting to get cooler and life is starting to slow down alittle. That can mean only one thing, I have time to work on the RV-7. I have spent the last two weekends working on the fuel tanks. I finally finished both fuel tanks and I am pround to say no leaks. I tested them this weekend and they both passed. My fuel cap didn't even leak. I feel very proud of myself that they both were good. I moved them into my home office to get them out of my way. The garage looks empty without them.....unless you ask my wife then you might get a different story. As you can see from my pictures I tested them with the Van's test kit. I did have a little trouble with the balloon leaking at the attachment point. I started out with a zip tie and that didn't work So I used some sewing thread to wrap around the stem and seal it up.

I am so happy to be done with the tanks. I am looking forward to other projects and not having to deal with proseal for a while.
