Brief Description:  Still working on the left tank

I think it has been a few weeks since I have updated this log. There has been a long weekend and a family visit and yard work to be done....you know life stuff.

So I am still working on the left tank. It is finely ready to close up. I think I have everything Pro Sealed up except for the tooling hole in the out board rib. I'm just waiting on a -6 rivet to hammer in there. This was a little harder then I thought it would be, and the bad news is I still have the left tank to do. I have worked on it a little and it should go faster then the left tank. I did make a common mistake that had I read a little on the VAF I would not have made it or looked at the drawing closer. I got the right and left floats mixed up....kind of. If you remember back a few weeks I made a doubler for the rear baffle on the left tank and when I installed that doubler I put it on backwards. So my fix was to just redrill the holes in the float flange to match the holes in the double installed on the rear baffle. The only problem was I drilled the right hand float. So now I have the right float in the left tank and that leaves the left float to fit in the right tank. So I drilled the flanges on the left float to fit the right tank. Kind of confusing I know but the big picture you have a right and left float with extra hole in them that won’t make a bit of difference....until someone has to change them.
Something I thought was going to give me trouble was the T-405 Tank Attach Bracket. It riveted up with no problem.
