Painted the firewall and permanently installed nose wheel strut with bungy.
Made a mistake with the lower bearing. The long rear bolt (AN3-42A) that clamps the bearing halves together is difficult to locate in the firewall stiffener. Despite following the instructions carefully, I finished up with the holes in the firewall stiffener not quite right. Had to enlagate about 1/4 of a hole width in oder to get the bolt to fit (very disappointing!)
Installed the nose wheel steering rods after cutting to the correct length. The rudder pedal end was easy but had to file off some of the weld on the strut attachment bolt in order to seat the rod end (and have 2 threads protruding through the nut).
