Brief Description:  Nose Gear

Installation of nose gear was relatively straight forward but with a few minor problems:

1) The upper stop plate would not seat properly for 2 reasons. Firstly the bolt heads retaining the upper bearing caused interference and secondly the middle rivet securing the firewall stiffener to the reinforcement bar would not allow the stop plate to seat. Both problems were solved by making the stop plate a little smaller (about 3 mm were shaved off the front edge of the plate)

2) The recomended bolts (AN 3-6A) to retain the upper bearing are too short !
