Brief Description: Elevator parts and prep for tail assembly
Finished parts for elevator horn and trim. Still have to weld tubes on trim horns.
Positioned fuselage in shop for start of tail assembly and rigging. Made 2x4 blocks to do two things - 1) protect axle threads for damage, 2) help with shimming and leveling of fuselage.
Removed brakes and wheels to lower. Tail still pretty high to work on. We'll see.
Leveled fuselage. Installed both HS's. Checked for -4 deg. Looks good.
Squared up rear HS spars and set for distance between tubes at 12 3/4" (6 3/8" from CL). Trying to figure out when correct time to drill leading edge of HS to crosstube. Not detailed in Eric manual that I can find. Calling it a night to do some research.
