Brief Description:  Trim Tab Hinges and Elevator

Welded second trim tab hinge tubes.
Made (4) 3/16" hinge pins. Was considering using clevis pins. Head diameter of clevis pin to large for 1/4" x .028 tubing. Would require large gap, possibly reducing rudder effectiveness. Stick with "Bob" method.

Continued to fit/cut parts for left elevator in prep for welding.

NOTE: POST ASSEMBLY ISSUE!!!!
Once the fabric was applied and finished though color coat there was a interference problem with the trim tab hinges. The 1/4 x .028 tubing did not clear the fabric thickness to install the hinge pin.
Fabric had to be removed at the hinge location for proper fit. Would consider using 5/16" x .058 next time. Another experienced builder recommended shimming out the hinge tubes with thin sheet. There is an excellent EAA video that would be an excellent and easy method to address this issue.
