Brief Description:  Wing Rotator

Originally had the wings sitting on work tables. Became a real problem trying to reach things and just acccess both sides. Had the wing on the table for a week and had no idea what the bottom of the wing even looked like. Wasn't making a lot of progress. The majority of my work is done by myself. Decided I needed a wing rotator to have access to both sides of the wing while working alone.

This is pretty much a duplicate of the wing rotisserie described in the Avipro Builder's Assistance Manual. I had some 1 1/2" square tubing stands from a metal fence project. The rest of the material came from the wing crate. Cut off the clips and welded them to 1" tubing.

Decided to use PVC pipe to support the curled skins. Electrical conduit is a little cheaper than water pipe. Also cushioned pipe with insulation to prevent damage just in case. Cut round notches with hole saw. Also notched bottom end to prevent slipping and dislodging. Both ends secured with tyraps.

This should help a lot!
