Brief Description: Fuel in System for first time - oops!
Today was the day to add fuel to the system for the first time. Turned the Newton SPRL valve to the off position. Disconnected the line at the carb inlet in preparation for a fuel flow test. Started adding fuel to left tank. Shortlyfuel started to flow freely from the line to the carburator. Verified that the fuel selector vavle was in the "OFF" position. Moved the valve through all the positions to try something. Turns out that the flow would stop when the selector was in the BOTH position. Removed selector valve and verified by blowing air through the different ports that OFF position is actually both and BOTH position is actually OFF!!
