Spent the day sneeking up on tacking the wing attach fittings. Took a lot of time fine tuning the shape of the rear attach fittings and rechecking the wing alignment many times.
Got it to the point of time to tack. Completed the following checks:
1) Fuselage level using water level for side to side. 2) Wing attach holes centered on longerons. 3) Forward attach fittings level with each other using water level. 4) Aft attach fittings level with each other using water level. 5) Leading edge straight and in line. 6) Checked wing incidence at root, spar to spar. Right = 0.6 deg Left = 0.6 deg 7) Checked wing tip to tail diagonal. Right = 19'-6 1/2" Left = 19'-6 1/2"
All checked good with no further adjustments. Tacked fittings. Started welding left side fittings.
