Started to weld in the first engine mount bushing. Made a jig to hold perpendicular to firewall while be tacked. This is the same strategy that Wayne Massey used.
Tacked in place. Decided to weld more since rotisserie will carry the weight at these engine mount bushings. Thought I would be smart and slip a 3/8" rod in to prevent the inside diameter from changing during welding. BAD, BAD idea. Must have gotten bushing too hot. Could not remove 3/8" rod. Spent the rest of the time saying bad words and trying to get the bushing out.
