Brief Description: Station C/S - Made lots of Chrome Moly dust
This was a challenge, got er dun! Laid out the 1" tube per STA C/S on table top. Marked and cut miters for bends. Jigged it up and tacked. Then welded the miter cuts fully.
Then I set a plumb vertical with a center line mark 1/2" aft of 15" mark made in previous step. Then I proceeded to sneek up on a good fit with lots of trips to the grinder. After making a lot of chrome-moly dust at the grinders, I got the fit I was looking for.
Tacked in place and called it a night. Good day at the airplane factory.
