Brief Description:  Fuel sensor calibration - SkyView

Finally got to the fueling calibration stage. Had the fuel truck add 2 gal/step to 19 gals on the L tank, then had to manually transfer 2 gal/step from L to R tanks. At each step the SkyView Hardware/EMS/Fuel calibration requires a button push to confirm amount was added and totalize the readings. One problem, but expected is the last 3 gallons is NOT calibrated in the sensor due to the shape of the tanks and sensor position.

The last 3 gallons is at the high (outboard) end of the dihedral and the sensor positioned at the inboard end is already against the top of the tank. It's best to measure the bottom of the fuel quantity accurately than the top. This is a design limitation and compromise made. Therefore, the FULL reading is 15 gals and will probably remain at 15 until it 'reaches' that level before dropping with the top of the fuel quantity.

It would be 'nice' to have a 15+ reading above that maximum sensor reading, as a reminder but it's why the fuel level should and could be confirmed with the filler inspection and a 'stick'.

After transferring all 19 gals to the R tank the engine was run with full cowling and then a taxi test and preliminary brake conditioning performed. Need to de-cowl and inspect for leaks and issues.
