Brief Description:  Modify F/I Pump/Filter housing

After weeks of unbearable workshop heat, I cranked up a portable A/C unit and after 24 hrs was able to survive for a bit.

A couple of days ago, I acquired an AFP Filter/Pump (unused/new condition) from a Barnerstormer web ad. Waiting for it to come in, and need to start final fitting of the fuel selector, and housing for the pump/filter. Originally I had riveted the forward section of the housing to the aft section, although plans called for nutplates/screws. My thinking was flawed and I repented, drilled out the rivets and installed K1100-06 C/S nutplates, and dimpled everything for the #6 SS screws.

It became apparent in review that the filter/pump and plumbing could require inspection without needing or desiring to review the housing under the fuel selector valve. Now that it conforms to the plans, I need to disassemble all of this, touch-up primer, and apply a coat of 'cockpit paint' .

Next step will be preparations of the brake lines that pass under the center floor cover section.

Had Trent over to help with another task, riveting in the AP pitch servo bracket in the floor behind the baggage bulkhead. Had to spend some time on riveting basics, and look forward to his help on the final outboard top skins on the skins, and wing removal/re-insertion, too.
